In our Room 2 Room Series we are focusing on tips and ideas on creating a cozy bedroom. For most of us, this is the place where we spend a lot of time in our homes. It’s also our getaway from the problems of the world, like a retreat in your own home where we want to make sure it reflects our style as well as be efficient for our clothing, shoes, and accessories. When you walk into your bedroom you want it to be inviting and unique. Here are a few tips on making your room a cozy area.
Tip #1 Display Pictures
I am a fan of family pictures in the bedroom and vintage signs and sayings to make your home an inviting place. Pictures of family and friends bring comfort to a room. Black and white or color photos bring great character and variety to any living space. Vintage display signs show inspiration and favorites quotes that we like see every time we enter the bedroom.
Tip #2 Creating Fragrances in the Bedroom
Fresh flowers in the bedroom can give a cozy feel as well as an organic fragrance in any room. Candles are also a great way to provide scents to the room. With so many fragrances to choose from, I recommend lavender and clean linen, both of those smell great in any bedroom and gives a calmness and freshness in your bedroom.

Tip # 3 Choose Patterns That You Like
Your style is what makes you unique. Some patterns may not work well together in others eyes although I would suggest to always go with what you love. I was always told if you walk by something and you immediately love it, don’t hesitate to get it. My style is vintage French country with a flea market feel. I can’t explain it, but when I go into a antique shop and I see something I love, I buy it and it usually follows my style that I described.
Tip #4 The More Pillows the Better!
Pillows are always a need in your bedroom, but how many is enough? I say you can never have to many pillows in your room. From decorative pillows with words and favorite patterns to plush pillows covering the top of your bed.
