When you think “remodel”, no doubt you think months of dust and headache, and lot’s of big contractor fees… Did you know that there are some remodel projects that you may be able to DIY? Thanks to some amazing bloggers, we found some step by step tutorials for easy DIY remodel projects that you can do to make your home something special! So let’s get to it!
‘Young House Love’ has a complete (and I mean complete!) tutorial for this DIY board and batten wall that they completed for $57. Yep. Really. I love this look, it adds so much character to boring walls, especially a hallway.
Want to close in a garage or an attic to add a new room to your home? You will need to know how to drywall! I have actually done this people, and I will tell you… It’s best to have two people, and take your time to get the seams smooth. Being detail oriented here pays off, you will have much more professional finish in the end. But I actually really enjoyed taping! Try this tutorial from ‘Family Handyman‘.
This next project amazed me, ’cause they did it for around $20! Let ‘Farm Fresh Vintage Finds ‘(Beth and her Hubby!) show you how to build a barn door with this great tutorial… Hint: They used fence boards! Yes, you heard me, this amazing door was made with cheap fence boards. Love this!
Mandi from ‘Tidbits from the Tremaynes’ did this DIY plank floor, by herself! And better yet, she used plywood. Yep, cheap plywood. I know, you just gotta know how she did this floor for $60, right?
Our next one is an amazing DIY stone backsplash by Molly at ‘Stilettos and Diapers’… They did this whole project from a veneer product they found at Lowe’s… You have to click through and check this out, they have great instructions!
From ‘Mandy Jean Chic’, this DIY pallet wall was free. Yep, free. The hardest part of this project, according to Mandy, was taking apart the pallets… which if you’ve have ever done a pallet project, you already know. And if you haven’t, make sure you learn tips and tricks from the bloggers who have, like Mandy Jean! Makes the whole thing go smoother! Love this wall!
